This Year’s Senior Expo Promises to be the Best Ever

Senior Helpers of Santa Barbara Owner, Mike Fasth

                                 

Former Kinko’s executive Mike Fasth used to help college seniors print and bind great looking papers.  Now he helps senior citizens maintain their independence.  The former President of Kinko’s Northwest owns Senior Helpers of Santa Barbara, a firm providing in-home assistants to people who need help – from transportation and light housekeeping to bathing, dressing and Alzheimer’s care. In our interview, he explains why he finds Senior Helpers to be such a rewarding business.

Finding a Cure for Alzheimer’s Disease

Genny Bolton and Luciana Cramer passionately discuss the importance of finding a cure for Alzheimer’s Disease.  They reflect on Alzheimer’s Action Day– which took place worldwide on September 21st.  To call awareness to Alzheimer’s Disease and to show solidarity in their determination to find a cure, people around the world donned purple clothing.  In Santa Barbara, the courthouse was ablaze in purple lights.  Santa Barbaran’s are urged to take part in the Walk to End Alzheimer’s, which will take place on November 4th. To find out how you can take part in the walk, call 805-892-4259 or visit http://www.alz.org/cacentralcoast/
