Longtime Montecito resident, Kara Rhodes, has directed and produced her first film. Debuting at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival, BridgeWalkers is an undertaking of enormous proportion and importance. The documentary shares a 20,000 year old prophecy and the extraordinary wisdom of tribal leaders from around the world.
Kara understands that ancient wisdom is here for all of us and says, “BridgeWalkers is a bridging of the mind to the heart, the heart to the land, and the land to the one human family.”
BridgeWalkers will be shown at the Santa Barbara Museum of Art on February 4th at 4:00pm. Directly following the documentary, there will be a chance to meet and greet several of the indigenous spiritual leaders featured in the film at the La Arcada Bistro. This is a once in a lifetime event that is not to be missed. The film will also be shown on February 5th at 8:30 AM at the Metro 4 in Theatre 4. Before the showing, a Chumash Elder will say a prayer and welcome the Elders that have come from a distance, the audience, and the spirit of the film. Tickets can be purchased online at http://sbiff.org/
A BIG thank you to Senior Programs of Santa Barbara and the International Film Festival for supporting the Young at Heart Radio Show.
